Die springs

US die springs

The best way to look for a die spring is the diameter and the length, after which all available forces in this range will immediately appear.

American springs (products with ST) can deviate up to 8% in their spring travel rate.

Die springs in flat / oval wire

Die springs designed with flat / oval wire are available in ISO 10243 and American standards. ISO 10243 die springs are calculated on 1.5 compressions. ST American / Raymond die springs are calculated on 1.000 compressions per hour.

Raymond die springs:

American die springs deviate in length at 0 - 60 mm 2.5 mm; at 51 - 105 mm, deviation 3,5 mm; 106 - 200 mm, deviation 5 mm; 201 - 250, deviation 6,5 mm, 251 - 305 mm, deviation 10 mm. ISO die springs do not have any deviations.

Load on the die springs
The loads on flat and oval wire die springs are:
Light load die springs with 25 - 30% of spring travel.
Medium load die springs with 20 - 25% of spring travel.
Heavy load die springs with 15 - 20% of spring travel.
Extra heavy load die springs with 15% of spring travel.

About die springs

The die springs are mainly used as heavy compression springs Die springs make it possible to deliver high power in small spaces due to their unique characteristics. The die springs are made of Chrome vanadium steel. The oval design provides extra compressive force and durability. The die springs can be used in working temperatures up to 200 degrees Celsius.
